The Opium War was also called the Anglo-Chinese War and was the most humiliating defeat that China ever suffered. In European history this is perhaps the most sordid, base, and vicious event in European history, possibly, just possibly, overshadowed by the excesses of the Third Reich in the twentieth century. In the era of the opium wars the British would sell the drugs to the Chinese people so they can get them to trade with them. But in the years the Chinese would get very addicted to it and the Chinese government would want the Brit's to stop selling it to them. the Brit's' had said no and continued to sell the opium. overall the British had won this war because they were technological advanced then the chinese.

Karl Marx and Communism
Karl Marx idea of communism was that the workers would rule the giant companies because the big time bosses (bourgeoisie) were screwing the workers (proletariat) over with little pay and long hours. so he wanted a community were every body gets paid the same way as any body else does. Karl Marx wanted communism to be don all over the world because he thought that it make the world a little more fair in the eyes of the workers. he thought that the good guys were the workers and the bad guys were the big time bosses. he thought that because he realized that the workers were being played and he saw ahead of his time what the industrial revolution would do.

Karl Marx and the Industrial Revolution
Karl Marx felt that industrial revolution was cruel to the workers and the factory owners didn't treat the workers with respect and they didn't give them enough time to take a break and eat for lunch. he was inspired by the industrial revolution to unite the workers together. and he had this idea that all the workers would share their wealth in a common community, and "they should be distributed by his abilities and needs."

Nationalism
Nationalism means loyalty and devotion to a nation or ethnic group that places emphasis on promoting the interests, cultural and social values, or religion of one. I'm sort of nationalistic because I like our freedom and every day i wake up i thank that I'm privileged enough to be in this country. Nationalism was used to create Italy because Italy was made up of different empires and when the people fought back they created Italy.

French Revolution
1. The reason why they hated the nobles, the clergy and the rest of the upper class was because the upper class didn't need to pay excessive amount of taxes, the benefited from the lower classes because they would pay a higher class then them.
2. The french lower class had many things to complain about such as food shortage, the increase of price on foods, and the way they were being treated by the rich.
3. Source A shows that he's paying for two higher nobles, but he thinks that there should be a revolution.
4. The author of Source B shows that life was very harsh, unfair with the taxes that were extremely high, they could only manage out whatever amount of money they could get.
5. this shows how the lower class members have to pay for themselves and the upper class, how the upper class members benefited from these people and still they're treated badly for all they did.
6. The peasants were influenced by this statement because this guy was thinking the same thing as the lower class members did. and he sorted of like connected with that certain group.
7. It would probably be banned by the upper class members, because they didn't want a new ideas about a better government, and to start a rebellion.

Copernicus and The Trial of Galileo
The Geocentric and Heliocentric theories are that were made in the 1500's. The Geocentric theory is that the center of the universe is the earth. The Heliocentric theory is another that the sun is at the center of the universe-and earth isn't at the center. The Geocentric theory came first then Galileo had and idea that maybe we aren't at center of the universe. He a tested that theory and it he was right we aren't at the center of the universe. He told the Church that we aren't in the center of the universe that the sun is. so they put him on trail for going against the catholic church.

Evolution vs. Creationism
What is evolution and creationism? These are two theories that usually start in a heated discussion. but these are these theory really real.
Evolution: is a theory that is based on that all life had started from one common ancestor: the birds and the bananas, the fishes and the flowers are all related. this theory also consist of when a species evolves. and when a new species is has emerged it fights for survival of the fittest. then if one wins this is called natural selection.
Creationism: is a theory that is based on the bible. it states that all life was created in seven days. Adam and eve where made in the creation from dust. and eve was made from one Adam's bone.
i believe in creationism because there is no exact evidence on the evolution theory. and if humans were come from monkeys then shouldn't we act like them
